Link Search Welcome to the new web site on industrial parks and companies of the Consell Comarcal del Bages.
Since 1998, the Consell Comarcal del Bages(Bages County Council) has been gathering and working on information regarding the county’s industrial areas and business activities, with a view to providing a favourable environment for the maintenance and growth of the business.
In 2001, we used the drive provided by new technologies to create a web page aimed at the industrial promotion of the Bages industrial parks and companies. The web provided online all the information that we had been available only on local databases.
Now, in 2008, we at the County Development Section of the Consell Comarcal del Bages have updated this tool and established this new portal, which provides detailed information on the 126 existing and planned industrial parks, and on a total of 6,000 companies and business located in the different municipalities. The creation of the web site has received financial funding from Diputació de Barcelona and Servei d’Ocupació de Catalunya.
The main objective of the portal is to disseminate the business of El Bages as much as possible and meanwhile, through the use of a simple search system, show the land available for new industrial establishments.
It also provides detailed information on the services and features of the industrial parks, and basic data of the companies both on the industrial parks and in the town centres of our municipalities. The web site also provides county socio-economic studies and specific studies of business and the industrial parks of each municipality.
I hope that this portal will contribute to promote the areas of business, the industrial parks and the companies of our municipalities as a whole, and prompt awareness the social and economic development of El Bages, a county with a long industrial tradition, a great potential for growth and for the establishment of new business activity.
